The Panther
‘Howard,’ she shouted as she stuffed files into her bag and flung a scarf around her neck. ‘Howard, you should check the paper today. Even just a look at the jobs section. You’ll feel better for it.’
Howard nodded, peeling himself off the sofa to walk her to the door. ‘I know it’s up to you and…I want you to be happy; I do, it’s just, I realised this morning it’s been two years. The routine, it could do so much for you…’ She continued rambling whilst checking her face in the hall mirror. He nodded again and kissed her out of obligation.
