I’m back home after a marvelous and relaxing vacation on The Gulf of Mexico. And I can’t say if that’s a good thing or a bad thing; right now, it’s just a sad thing.
I’ve witnessed beautiful sunrises,
marveled at gorgeous sunsets,
and have eaten some yummy seafood.
But best of all, I’ve shared it all with three like-minded friends who love the beach just as much as I do.
Now it’s time to settle into my old routine: work, write, read. Hopefully, soon the sadness of parting (the feeling that I’ve left a part of my soul behind on the sandy shores) will lift, and I’ll return to my usual self. And who knows, maybe the day will come when I can forever abide in “my place in the sun”.
